A Waie Inn Welcome…
You are always welcome at the Waie Inn – the home of great food, beers and wine, along with the exceptional facilities to help you relax, unwind and enjoy this beautiful part of rural Devon.
The Waie Inn offers that rarity in the South West of England, all weather enjoyment! It doesn’t matter what the weather does. If the sun is shining pass the time in our glorious gardens, activity play areas, try your hand at a spot of fishing or even a game of football. If it rains, entertain the children in our fantastic indoor play barn with slides and toddler area, our indoor swimming pool or try a game of pool, squash, darts or skittles! However most of you may just prefer to exercise your right arm with a glass, knife and fork!
Zeal Monachorum means ‘cell of the monks’ as the local manor was given to Buckfast Abbey by King Canute. The ‘holy water’ consumed today at the Waie Inn is as blessed as in those days… just a tad stronger.

Thank you for your understanding.
We kindly request our visitors to refrain from consuming picnics on this site.
We are a privately run business with free indoor and outdoor facilities. We choose not to charge for various types of play equipment, Astro surface, skittle alleys etc so you can choose how much or how little to spend.
We would like to keep this value for money approach and to do this we rely heavily on the sales of food and drink rather than the introduction of an entrance charge.
Thank you for your understanding.
We have stayed at the Waie Inn 4 times now, renting a cottage. We love it here. The cottages are wonderful, fully equipped and homely. They staff are so lovely and nothing is too much trouble. There is so much to do for all age ranges that you couldn’t get bored of you tried. Swimming pool, soft play, pool, snooker, outside play area, football, squash, to name but a few things. The pub is lovely, so relaxing and the meals are amazing! I can not recommend the Waie Inn highly
Enough and we will back for our 4th visit soon.
Thank you.
Been Staying at friars cottage, it’s very clean and we was Welcomed with cookies on the table when we walked in…was lovely to see the little touches like that and specially the hot chocolate sachets! I was surprised to see it had enough towels, toilet roll, washing up liquid, everything
It will be a Christmas for my kids to remember!
